Adopt a Chihuahua

A DARLING OLDER GIRL:  10 years old / 13 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I am a cute older girl, but please be calm with me, and I will warm up to you that much faster! I do have bursts of happy energy, but my main pastime is napping and snuggling under blankets.  Once I know you, I happily accept neck scratches and loving.  My foster mom says I curl up so cute in my doggie bed, and I love to sleep in my dog bed with a fleece blanket on top of me. Or, I’ll burrow under a comforter or blanket and happily sleep away the day.  I bet I’ll be a great snuggler in my new home, too! I am working on my potty manners--I may just need to go out more frequently, so it would be good if my new home had someone around a good bit to allow me to do that. I do need to “go” first thing in the a.m., so please be ready to take me when my feet hit the floor. I like exploring the fenced-in backyard at my foster home. I have some slight vision loss to due to my age, but I get around fine and will follow you wherever you go. My teeth were cleaned not too long ago, so my smile is pretty and fresh! I pretty much ignore the dogs and cats in my foster home, but I’m a bit timid and shy, so an older, calm dog may be a good companion for me.  I walk pretty well on a leash, but I am a bit shy about accepting the leash and then having it removed.  Just go slow with me, and I should soon learn that the leash on my neck is just fine.  I will do best in home with no kids do my size, age, shy nature and I may snap at them.  Energy: 3-5.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed and my adoption fee is $275.00.
